Oxmazetol (Oxcarbazepine) is an anticonvulsant and mood stabilizing drug, used primarily in the treatment of epilepsy, anxiety and mood disorders. It controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
Take Oxmazetol in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Oxmazetol can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Oxmazetol at a fixed time.
Common side effects: sleepiness, headache, nausea, vomiting, double vision, fatigue, dizziness.
